You will be part of the founding team of engineers in our brand new tech lab in India! You will be tasked with building the foundations and establishing the best engineering culture of the tech lab to design, develop, test and ship software that propels the business forward.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Craft great code, empathize with our users, review pull requests, share your knowledge, learn together with other team members
- Build, deploy and monitor frontend applications written in React.js (AngularJS experience a nice-to-have)
- Share in our team's technical ownership of various micro FEs
- Work with our Product Designers to design the best UI/UX and with our Backend Engineers to design the best REST/GraphQL APIs
- Coordinate and communicate across teams to integrate FEs with services, surface usage metrics, drive adoption of new tools or standards
Requirements
- Required 6+ years of industry experience
- Working experience primarily on ReactJS, or AngularJS (knowledge of mobile development, either Android or Flutter, is a plus)
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/Typescript
- Understanding of the importance of user experience and user interface elements
- Visual eye for design nuances - ability to accurately interpret designs and fill in the blanks when viewports haven't been explicitly designed
- Good understanding of how the web works - e.g. how assets are loaded by browsers, how that affects performance and how to optimize against those limitations
- Identify project risks and downstream impact of new features
- Strong Computer Science and Software Engineering fundamentals
- Write clean, elegant and understandable code with high test coverage
- Great team spirit, willingness to receive, and give, constructive criticism
