Head of Consulting – India Consulting Managing Director
Location: Hyderabad or Noida (NCR)
Role Overview
Crowe is seeking an India Consulting Managing Director to lead and grow its consulting practice in India. This individual will serve as the senior-most consulting leader in the country in the country and play a critical role in scaling India as a strategic global delivery and innovation hub.
This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a balance of operational excellence, client engagement, capability building, and talent development. The leader will work closely with global consulting leadership and local stakeholders to deliver high-quality consulting services to clients worldwide while building a strong, unified consulting organization in India.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the consulting practice in India, setting the strategy, and priorities aligned with global objectives.
- Serve as a key member of the India leadership team, contributing to overall business strategy and growth.
- Partner with global leaders to expand consulting capabilities and introduce new service offerings.
- Build a strong, collaborative culture and a unified identity across consulting teams.
Delivery Excellence & Operations
- Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across consulting engagements supporting global clients.
- Implement and strengthen standardized delivery processes, governance, and quality frameworks.
- Monitor key performance metrics including utilization, productivity, and delivery outcomes.
- Act as an escalation point for complex engagements and ensure timely issue resolution.
Client Engagement & Business Development
- Support business development efforts and contribute to growth of consulting practice.
- Lead/provide oversight of client engagement teams as needed.
- Participate in client meetings and executive discussions as needed. Act as a market-facing consulting executive for select strategic global clients, supporting governance, solution shaping, and long-term client relationships.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to strengthen client relationships and expand opportunities.
Capability Building
- Partner with global practice leaders to build and scale consulting capabilities in India.
- Support development of new offerings aligned to market demand and firm priorities.
- Drive innovation in delivery approaches, including adoption of technology-enabled solutions.
Talent & Culture
- Build, lead and inspire a high-performing consulting team.
- Support hiring efforts, including leadership recruitment and team scaling.
- Mentor and develop consulting leaders and emerging talent.
- Strengthen learning and development programs and career progression frameworks.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
Communication & Collaboration
- Serve as a key communication link between India teams and global leadership.
- Promote collaboration across teams, functions, and geographies.

Required Qualifications
- 20+ years of experience in consulting, professional services, or advisory organizations.
- Experience with technology-enabled consulting - Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow or salesforce, digital transformation, or AI-enabled service
- Proven experience leading large consulting teams or practices.
- Strong track record in delivery excellence, client engagement and operational management.
- Experience working in global, matrixed environments.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale teams and capabilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required in business, technology, engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a Big 4 or leading global consulting firm
- Experience supporting global clients, particularly North America
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
