Job Description
Technical Specialist, Automations
Location: Hyderabad
Your Department:
Global Business Services
Your Responsibilities:
- Build Alteryx workflows for data processing and automation.
- Create Power BI and Tableau dashboards for data visualization and reporting.
- Work on SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
- Understand and identify transformation areas within processes.
- Coordinate with stakeholders effectively using project management skills.
- Provide in-depth analysis of variances arising month-on-month for different business units concerning budget, forecast, and prior actuals at General Ledger details.
- Lead transformation projects within the team, focusing on simplification, standardization, and automation to improve efficiencies.
- Proactively review and update process procedures for any new changes/updates.
- Ensure SOPs and video recordings are updated regularly.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects under the direction of the supervisor.
- Handle client queries/ad-hoc requests independently.
Your Competencies:
- Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); understanding of internal control elements.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Technical Skills:
- 5 to 7 years of accounting experience, specifically in the Financial Planning & Analysis process.
- Experience with accounting and financial systems, preferably Oracle.
- Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis process improvement and application systems implementation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools like Alteryx and data visualization tools like Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle Essbase.

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple changing priorities along with day-to-day responsibilities.

- Keenness and aptitude to learn, upskill, and mentor in the respective technical domain.
- Able to work in a global, multicultural environment.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in data analysis and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Advanced SQL certification or equivalent experience.
- Additional certifications in Oracle Essbase or related financial systems would be an advantage.
Shift Timings:
Work hours will be from 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST (01:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST) and may include late hours and/or weekend support during close.
