Senior Tech Operations Analyst
This position requires experience in Informatica Cloud Platform Administration and Informatica PowerCenter Platform Administration. Candidate should have experience in working with multiple AWS services specifically in Data Integration domain i.e. AWS Glue, Lambda etc. Experience in ETL production support activities to maintains operational day-to-day IT functions for the business applications with Informatica as ETL Tool and Tivoli Workload scheduler and Tidal as scheduling tool and will be an added advantage.
The person should be able to support High priority(P1/P2) incidents dynamically by providing timely resolution for the problem and handle other service requests. The person will also be responsible for handling minor enhancements, perform code reviews, handle application outages(planned/unplanned) and responsible for performance and maintenance of the highly critical business application.
The person should exhibit leadership qualities and demonstrate business acumen while working closely with business users to understand requirements and help team translate it into technical changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong ETL fundamentals and extensive knowledge of Informatica product suite i.e. Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Cloud.
- Experience with administrative, migration and product upgrades in Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Cloud space and should be experienced with installation and setup.
- Should have extensive knowledge of handling the ETL production batches and should be able to take care of ETL batch recoveries in case any infrastructure issue.
- Good Knowledge and exposure in multiple AWS services like AWS S3, EC2, Lambda, IAM, Glue, Athena, Cloud Watch etc, required for designing ETL solutions in AWS cloud.
- Gauge the severity, urgency and criticality of production issues and address them as quickly as possible.
- Provide application support and do application troubleshooting while working in the DevSecOps model
- Assess & recommend solutions for permanent fixes to improve application stability and resiliency
- Troubleshooting experience and handling call with Informatica Product team
- Collaborate with offshore and overseas team members to ensure smooth execution of the application operations
- Candidate should have good Unix Scripting knowledge(Shell, Perl, Python etc).
- Sound knowledge of monitoring tools like Tivoli Workload scheduler, Tidal etc.
- Knowledge on mainframe technology.
- Good Communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors/Master degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent.
Person should have above qualifications and 4 -7 years of experience in relevant disciplines including:
- Has at least 4-7 years of experience in IT Infrastructure management specifically in Data Integration Domain and AWS Cloud.
- Experience in managing ETL solutions in On-Prem env i.e. Informatica or Informatica Cloud (IICS).
- Experience in managing Amazon Web Services with code, such as CFT or Terraform.
- Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment technologies, such as Ansible or Jenkins.
- Ability to support working outside of normal business hours to provide after hour or "on-call" support when necessary to solve high priority incidents/problems
- At least 4-6 years of experience in handling Production instances of application and providing necessary support ensuring data availability for dependent applications
- Hands-on experience with scheduling tool TWS would be an added advantage
- Knowledge of ITIL practices
- Exceptional problem solving skills with strong programming fundamentals & algorithms (strong analytical skills).
- Experience in Linux shell scripting and Python programming.
- Should have understanding of application development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates who have used following tools (or have familiarity with below) will have added advantage:
- Service Now
- JAVA
- Familiarity with JIRA, BitBucket is a plus
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (SumoLogic/Dynatrace)
