Position: Azure Data Engineer (Offshore - Remote)

Smartbridge is seeking an Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure technologies. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience working with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, SQL, and ETL processes.
Responsibilities:Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Design and implement data models for efficient storage and retrieval in Azure Synapse Analytics.
Optimize SQL queries and performance tuning for large datasets.
Work with Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and other cloud data solutions.
Implement data security measures, including role-based access control (RBAC) and data masking.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Azure Data Factory (ADF) – Building, orchestrating, and monitoring data pipelines.
Azure Synapse Analytics – Data modeling, performance optimization.
SQL Server & T-SQL – Writing complex queries, stored procedures.
ETL & Data Transformation – Experience handling large datasets.
Azure Data Lake & Blob Storage – Managing structured and unstructured data.
Power BI or other visualization tools (preferred but not mandatory).
Python or Spark (Databricks experience is a plus).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
Microsoft Azure certification (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience in Oil & Gas, Life Science, or Food & Beverage is a plus.
100% remote role – Must be available for the second shift to overlap with the US team until Noon CST.
3-month probation period before full-time confirmation. If certification is not already held, it must be completed during probation.
Candidates will undergo a 45-60 minute TestGorilla assessment, including:
Intro Video Section – Candidate introduction & motivation.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Scenario-based questions.
Technical Test – Covering SQL, Azure Data Engineering-related questions, and possible coding tasks.
