Institutional Investment Operations Specialist
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Institutional Investment Operations Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Participate in lifecycle support tasks for institutional trade initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements
- Assist leadership in bringing individual or teams together in order to resolve complex issues
- Assist in client account onboarding, input and monitoring of cash payments, customer service, project support, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation, as well as, work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issue
- Provide subject matter expertise on projects along with internal and industry related initiatives
- Review and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable
- Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise on functions, projects, internal and industry related initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Perform a variety of operational tasks for complex securities or process extensive knowledge of systems
- Perform moderately complex duties such as processing, researching inquires and reconciling transactions
- Perform daily detailed reconciliation and perform various checks
- Work closely with Oversight, Technology and Production Support team to resolve the issues/breaks.
- Analyze multiple system source data and provide the EOD report to WIM Operations department internal customer timely manner.
- Address compliance and corporate governance issues for the department
- Monitor and validate daily/monthly reports received and loaded to the system to ensure accuracy in reconcilement and to avoid business impact.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Perform a variety of operational tasks for complex securities or process extensive knowledge of systems
- Address compliance and corporate governance issues for the department
- Work under close supervision following established procedures
- Review and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development and escalates issues to senior management
- Participate in initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements
- Provide subject matter expertise on projects and initiatives
- Assist leadership in bringing individual or teams together to resolve complex issues
- Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise on functions, projects, internal and industry related initiatives
- Assist with Audit and Operations inquiries and will keep the manager aware of any concerns or special requirements. · Follow up on inquiries submitted by various lines of business for resolution or escalation.
- Manage and support the execution of programs on various operational strategies and priorities for Wholesale Operations such as Risk and Control Programs, location strategy, financials, workforce management, manager effectiveness, productivity enhancement programs, etc.
- Drive cross functional initiatives across Wholesale operations with measurable milestones & outcomes, robust project management, strong collaboration and partnership, and effective change management and communications.
- Analyze internal operations metrics and data to help operations leaders with actionable insights, effective metrics reporting, performance analysis and identify areas for process enhancement.
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in performing various reconcilements of inter system.
- Proven understanding of accounting fundamentals as it relates to Subsystem reconcilements.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Detail oriented, results driven, and can navigate in a quickly changing and high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Ability to research and report on a variety of issues using problem solving skills.
- Proven ability/proficiency with the use of various types of automation.
- Ability to work both independently as well as within a team environment.
- Thorough knowledge on Reconciliation · Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Open to US shifts
