The Role: Scrum Master

The Scrum Master position at S&P Global works with stakeholders and team members across regions to facilitate the delivery of value using Agile practices. The Scrum Master contributes significantly to their team’s success by acting as a servant leader and coaching towards continuous improvement while executing on delivering business priorities.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be working with a team or teams of enthusiastic members supporting our critical technology systems and guiding our business partners & end users with industry best practices, solution design, and creating long term value to our customers.
- Educate Agile teams to maximize efficiencies and performance from agile best practices and values
- Coach Agile scrum teams in self-organization and continuous improvement
- Guide Agile teams to consistently delivery customer value
- Work with stakeholders to understand the business requirements, customer workflow, and to help identify the skills and teams needed to deliver value
- Manage risks, mitigate impediments, and negotiate dependencies within and across Scrum teams
- Guide the team in release planning, defect management, root cause analysis and project timelines
- Facilitate Scrum events such as Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Refinement sessions, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives and Quarterly planning
- Work with Product Owners to ensure features and user stories are clear, concise, prioritized, and understood by every member of the Agile team.
- Establish and maintain open and clear lines of team communication to facilitate status transparency
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience leading teams in delivery using Agile practices as a Scrum Master
- Experience in business analysis including requirement gathering, defect troubleshooting, release planning and coordination
- Excellent English communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks proactively
- Team-first, empathetic, servant leader with a growth mindset.
