This role requires working from our local Hyderabad office 2-3x a week.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a Workday Financials Analyst to support the day-to-day operations of our Workday Financials platform and drive optimization across our Finance, Accounting, and Procurement processes. This is a techno-functional role, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of systems, data, and business process improvement.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners and product owners to ensure seamless Workday functionality, drive enhancements, troubleshoot system issues, and deliver reporting and analytics that support strategic decision-making. This role will also support major finance system initiatives, including Workday Prism and Accounting Center implementation, testing, reporting, and training.
The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented — capable of managing ambiguity, juggling multiple priorities, and communicating effectively with stakeholders. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday Financials modules, including Financial Accounting, Prism, Accounting Center, Procurement, Supplier Accounts, Customer Accounts, Expenses, and Cash Management.
Support business users with day-to-day Workday production issues and month-end/year-end closing activities.
Design and test new features, enhancements, and process improvements within Workday Financials.
Develop and maintain custom Workday reports, dashboards, Prism datasets, calculated fields, and data sources.
Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to translate business requirements into system solutions.
Manage and optimize Workday Financials security roles, ensuring compliance and proper governance.
Support Workday release management by testing new features and ensuring smooth rollouts.
Assist in system integration monitoring and troubleshooting, including data flow and integrity.
Maintain system documentation, provide end-user training, and promote self-service reporting.
Participate in finance technology roadmap initiatives, including new module rollouts or third-party tool integrations.
Support vendor and supplier management processes via Procurement and Expenses modules.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
At least 7 years of hands-on experience working with Workday Financials in a functional or technical capacity.
2+ years of experience with Workday Prism and/or Accounting Center.
Strong understanding of financial processes across General Ledger, Assets, Banking, and Procurement.
Solid experience supporting and troubleshooting financial systems and integrations.
Proficiency in building Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields.
Familiarity with Workday security configuration and controls.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with business and technical teams.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
AND IT’S GREAT TO HAVE:
Workday FIN Core and Prism certification(s).
Experience supporting Workday system integrations and middleware tools.
Familiarity with ASC 842 Lease Accounting, multi-currency/multi-book environments.
Knowledge of revenue and billing integrations with third-party platforms.
Hands-on experience using JIRA for ticket tracking and project collaboration.
Prior experience in a fast-paced, global, or enterprise environment.
