[UPLIVE Tean] Video Editor (Remote/Freelance)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Video Production
• Edit short form video ads for Game and Apps with high quantity and simple edits (6–30s).
• Combine gameplay footage, UI recordings, text, basic motion graphics, sound effects, and music to create polished videos.
• Deliver videos that follow provided references, styles, and technical specs.


• Fast Iteration
• Produce multiple variations quickly to support A/B testing and rapid creative cycles.
• Work closely with Creative Strategists, and UA teams to refine concepts and respond to performance signals.
• Constantly explore new visual directions, transitions, and editing techniques to avoid fatigue and improve performance.


• AI-Enhanced Video Editing
• Use AI tools to support assets production, speed up ideation, style exploration, pacing improvements, and asset generation.
• Adopt new AI workflows (AI rotoscoping, auto-captions, layout suggestions, AI cuts, etc.) to increase speed and consistency.
• Recommend useful AI tools to improve team output and streamline production.


• SCOPE OF WORK
• [Simple] Short-form Video Ads:
6-30s, around 10 output per day from simple to complex scope
Adapt video ratios: 9:16, 1:1, 16:9 (as requested)
Variations per brief: defined upfront
• [Complex] Short-form video Ads
Same with simple, but prepare footage and materials more from scratch
More VFX required
• Daily collaboration
Receive tasks in a batch by week from Project Coordinator, then take briefs and deliver within expected timeframe.
• Working hours expectation
From 3-8 hours per day
Monday to Friday
• Creative quantity expectation
Up to 2 different concepts per day
Up to 12 videos resize per day

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ year experience editing videos for apps, games, social media, or ads.
• Proficient in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of:
• Short-form ad pacing
• Hook - engagement - outro structure
• Clear visual storytelling
• Able to follow references and adapt to different styles quickly.
• Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) AI tools for editing support.
SOFT SKILLS
• Able to work under fast iteration cycles and tight deadlines.
• Strong ownership mindset—drives tasks to completion with accuracy and attention to detail
• Open to feedback, proactive in asking questions, and comfortable sharing creative ideas.
• Curious, adaptable, and eager to upgrade skills (AI tools, new editing techniques, creative trends).
