Job Purpose:
As a Technical Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for production support to internal and external customers. The ideal candidate possesses not only a variety of technical knowledge but also excellent prioritization and troubleshooting skills. The Technical Specialist will contribute to the team by suggesting specific feature requests, sharing engineering release information, and developing both the internal and external knowledge base on product functionality and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for all technical support issues.
- Provide professional and prompt communication on technical analysis and resolution of customer issues.
- Have ownership over cases from start to finish including troubleshooting, communicating with the stake holders, and pulling in other teams.
- Characterization of the incident, reproduction, diagnosis, and analysis of the root cause.
- Work with the Business Development, Product, Engineering and QA teams on special projects.
- Work with the Sales Team on achieving a high percentage of client retention.
- Contribute to and lead customer support service improvements efforts.
- Should be flexible in working with 24x7 shifts.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- BS degree (computer science, engineering, or related) preferred or equivalent qualification with 2+years of working experience.
- Demonstrated competency in Java and its related technologies: Spring, Hibernate, Apache Struts.
- Strong experience with SQL databases and familiarity with UNIX based operating systems.
- Good to have experience with tools like Jira, Newrelic, Putty, Eclipse, SQL Yog/Developer.
- Familiar with internet technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript (major plus), and web servers (Tomcat 8).
- Will be an added advantage if the candidate can possess knowledge on cloud technologies like AWS.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated clear and concise written and verbal communications.
Work Schedule:
This role will be working in rotational shifts in 24x7 environment and will require at least 2 days’ work from office at Hyderabad.
Eligibility Criteria:
- You must have completed at least 12 months of continuous employment in your current role or have completed at least one full performance review cycle and have a satisfactory performance record.
- You should meet the minimum required qualifications, professional experience, skills, and applicable competencies as defined.
