Job Description

Job Purpose (Job Summary):  

This position will report to the Global Proxy Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will embody the “player-coach” mentality as in this role you are expected to not only direct the daily activities of the Proxy Voting team but also foster a working environment where talented people can thrive. In this role, you will work closely with the Global Proxy Operations Manager and the Director of Proxy Voting & Governance to drive organizational, and process change while maintaining the high standards for client satisfaction that have already been established.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day proxy operational tasks in Hyderabad to support various Invesco investment centers, ensuring that SLAs and all relevant regulations are met and maintained.
  •  Work with internal and external shareholders to execute strategic projects.
  •  Clear communication on blockers, changes, and completion of day-to-day tasks.
  •  Analysis of current process flows and recommendations on how they can be improved.

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:

  • Strong people management skills, ability to lead, motivate, and mentor team members.
  • Confident communicator in all mediums to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for operational and project deliverables
  • Must be able to interpret proxy policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Good problem solving and strong analytical skills.
  • Driven, high energy, and enthusiastic attitude.

Work Experience / Knowledge

  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience in the Asset Management industry. Business unit may be different
  • 3-5 years in people management
