About the Role

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Tax Specialist who excels at tax compliance and advisory and hands-on execution. This role will collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Accounting and Tax compliance, and Senior Manager[1] Accounting on strategic initiatives and will shape and support the Tax functions in India. You will be responsible for Tax compliance, including GST and WHT submissions for the India entity, building the India processes and local compliance team for statutory tax compliance, ensuring the integrity of accounting and tax records for the Indian legal entity and compliance with India accounting standards and tax regulations. In addition, you will be supporting the global strategy to centralize statutory compliance support and filings for direct tax, indirect tax (VAT) and other tax filings for Highspot international entities.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the entity's Global Tax function, ensuring accurate accounting and tax records with an emphasis on long-term scalability.
  • Own the India tax compliances (GST, STPI, WHT, Income tax computation and returns).
  • Manage and monitor global indirect tax and other tax filings.
  • Support statutory compliance preparation and filings including financial statement preparation, statutory audits, tax compliances.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party services providers to gain a deep understanding of India & Global tax regulations and compliance requirements and inform leadership of risk mitigation assessments.
  • Evaluate process and system infrastructure, along with identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities. 
  • Establish strong professional relationships with team members across the organization.
  • Executing optimization and enhancement programs to create efficiencies in the day-to-day operations. 

Required Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant with 2+ years of post-qualification experience in tax roles.
  • Proven history and ability to manage global tax compliances.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various data systems to extract, assess, and analyze data.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in implementing best practices for maintenance of tax records.
  • Well versed in Excel, Power point and working knowledge of ERP accounting software (Netsuite is a plus).
  • Flexibility to adapt to variety of engagement types, accounting, tax, global compliance.
  • Understanding of Highspot's industry and sales enablement solutions is a plus.
