Job Description: Tax Services Associate-International Tax
Summary: As an International Tax Staff , you will have the opportunity to work on a vast array of engagements, serving a diverse multinational client base. Our client base includes U.S. companies doing business outside the U.S., as well as foreign companies operating in the U.S. As part of the international tax services team, you should be prepared to assist with the preparation of the international component of U.S. tax returns, optimizing foreign tax credit positions, analyzing U.S. and foreign implications of potential international repatriation and expansion strategies, and consulting related to tax efficient ownership structures. In addition, the position will provide the opportunity to display research and writing skills in the preparation of consulting memorandums
International Tax compliance responsibilities:
- Minimum 1.5 years of preparation of international tax calculations including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credit calculations and international reporting and compliance.
- Continuously engage in learning new skills and acquiring knowledge in the US international tax and relevant technologies.
- Provide support to Seniors and guidance to junior members.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience in in US international taxation
- Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, robust analytical skills, innovative thinking and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to supervise newer staff
- Prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments
- Flexible to work both independently and in a team environment with professionals of all levels
- Demonstrates Crowe’s values of Care, Trust, Courage and Stewardship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree, CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
- Prior experience with Big 4 or a large national, regional or U.S.-based accounting firm and/or in-house corporate tax experience
- Technically proficient with strong accounting, analytical and research skills
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks and independently define, implement, and manage new processes
- Technology skills including MS-Office, Alteryx
