The Supply Chain Accountant will drive financial accuracy, implement controls for inventory and cost management, and collaborate across functions to enhance efficiency and profitability.

As our Supply Chain Accountant, you'll be at the forefront of financial accuracy, implementing robust controls to eliminate discrepancies and prevent cash leakage while optimizing operational efficiency. Accounting Activities
- Accounting for Inbound Freight: Capitalizing inbound freight costs as part of landed cost accounting, adding these costs to inventory valuation.
- Accounting for Duties & Tariffs: Treating tariff-related payments similarly to inbound freight by capitalizing these costs towards inventory.
- Accounting for Warehousing Expenses: Detailed segmentation of warehousing costs into specific categories such as fixed versus variable expenses, and further breaking down by labor, space rental, materials, utilities, equipment, and other relevant cost drivers, to enable more accurate managerial analysis and informed decision-making.
- Accounting for Outbound Freight: Allocating outbound freight costs by SKU and customer, enabling variance analysis against standard costs and assessment of product and customer profitability.
Inventory Management
- Maintaining accurate inventory records in collaboration with the Warehouse Team.
Cost Control
- Performing budget-to-actual analyses and delivering actionable insights to drive cost optimization and reduction initiatives.
Improving Controls, processes and practices
- Lead the standardization and enhancement of accounting processes and internal controls for improved accuracy and efficiency.
Colloboration
- Work cross-functionally with operations, sales, supply chain, and IT teams to identify areas for improvement and implement productivity-increasing projects.
Additional responsibilities that arise
- Show initiative and/or follow instructions from Finance Leadership regarding tasks and projects that extend beyond official duties and may come up as circumstances change.
Qulifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fields.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally with a focus on supply chain or logistics.
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across functions.
