Job Summary: 
 

We're seeking an experienced L3 Storage Operations Engineer/Lead to drive our global technical operations of Storage within our Infrastructure Hosting Platform. You'll be at the forefront of developing and supporting the engineering and operations of Storage Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) capabilities hosted both on-premises and in Public Cloud. 

 
If you have a strong background in Storage administration, an understanding of Linux based services, and thrive in large, geographically dispersed enterprise environments, this role is for you. You'll work with our most critical infrastructure, supporting sites in multi-datacenter stretch clusters. Our goal is to enhance infrastructure availability and reliability through repeatable patterns, innovative architectural designs, and improved observability to prevent outages and drive value across the organisation. 
 

In this role, you'll provide technical expertise and leadership, guiding operations teams and collaborating with other platform infrastructure SMEs to deliver daily operations effective

Your Responsibilities: 

Design technical implementations and support day to day operations across various storage platforms including but not limited to NAS, SAN, System Administration, Performance Tuning. 

Management and administration experience on various Dell storage products including PowerScale, PowerStores, MetroNode, Unity along with experience with ONTAP and SAN switches. 

Sound knowledge of CIFS/SMB, NFS, multiprotocol and basic Linux administration skills. 

Familiarity with various encryption technologies (for both Data At Rest and in-transit) and ensuring compliance. 

Proficient with code upgrades, migrations, SAN switch management and performance management 

Execute POC, SOP development, Public Cloud Storage, Backup and Recovery. 

Writes and maintains complete and concise technical documentation. 

Serve as the point of escalation for Storage. and Backup operational incidents across all regions. 

Working knowledge of Azure/AWS and IaaS services 

One or more - Scripting and development languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash or Perl) 

Work closely with business units, application teams, and other IT departments to address requirements, dependencies, and operational needs. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on operational performance, projects, and incidents. 

Incident & Change Management - Manage incident resolution and root cause analysis for critical server issues. Oversee change management processes, ensuring minimal impact to production environments. 

What you will bring to the table: 

Complete familiarity with storage technologies including design and implementation of Geographically Dispersed setup 

Must have experience managing, optimizing, and upgrading storage arrays environment and its schedules strategies. 

Strong experience in managing and supporting enterprise systems in a highly virtualized and hybrid data centres spanning across the globe. 

Sound knowledge of UNIX with working knowledge of disk group, multipath, ACLs and encryption. 

Experience communicating at various levels including non-technical staff, leadership, management, and stakeholders. 

Strong proven skills in ITIL framework (Especially, Incident, Problem and Change management) 

Familiarity with various Agile methodologies esp. Scrum and Kanban 

Knowledge Cisco, VMware system/servers are a plus. 

Soft Skills 

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges. 

• Proven leadership experience, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 

Your Qualification: 

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience. 

8+ years of experience in enterprise-class storage and data protection services 

Additional Information: 

• Role located in Hyderabad (relocation required)

• Availability to work flexible work hours is/may be required. This team will support continuous operations across two shifts and therefore, this role will require non-standard work hours, and some work on weekends and holidays.  Appropriate adjustments in benefits will be provided for employees working non-standard hours where applicable.
