At Micron, we transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.  The pace is fast, collaboration occurs on a regular basis, and innovation is expected.  As a test platform development Engineer within the Non-Volatile Engineering (NVEG) Product Engineer team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining data analytics and visualization tools, software applications, and reporting dashboards to support team efficiency. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of both front-end and back-end programming languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries, along with a strong sense of visual design and functionality. You will oversee the entire AI/ML project development lifecycle, from initial concept to final deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform business analysis, requirement gathering, and solution workflow design for GenAI/ML projects
• Design and implement GenAI frameworks and patterns tailored to various teams needs.
• Architect and lead the implementation of GenAI use cases, projects, and POCs across multiple industries.
• Work on RAG models and Agents Frameworks to enhance GenAI solutions by incorporating relevant information retrieval mechanisms and frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Smart Manufacturing and AI, Data Science, Product Engineering and other teams of SMEs, data scientists and data engineers, to drive the AI strategy and implementation with the existing systems and to brainstorm software/AI/ML solutions.
• Develop Proof-of-concepts (PoC) to assess the feasibility and performance of various AI models and to demonstrate the potential benefits to stakeholders.
• Routinely communicate overall project status to leadership and cross functional product team
• Provide guidance through debug and resolution of product related issues

Qualifications:

Successful candidates for this exciting opportunity will have:

• 10+ years of experience participating in projects that focused on one or more of the following areas: Generative AI, AI/ML, ML Ops and/or Predictive Analytics,
• Experience architecting high-impact GenAI solutions for diverse projects.
• Hands-on experience in how LLMs work & Generative AI (LLM) techniques particularly prompt engineering, RAG, and agents.
• Experience working with RAG technologies and LLM frameworks, LLM APIs, and vector databases.
• Deep knowledge in statistics and Machine Learning models, deep learning models, NLP, Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN), and other generative models.
• Programming Proficiency in Python and Strong background in statistics and probability
• Excellent data analysis, problem solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently in a very fast paced environment and adapt to change
• Drive to determine root-cause and provide corrective action for product issues
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic in a challenging, dynamic environment
• Demonstrated ability to partner successfully with other groups to build strong peer relationships and achieve the best outcomes for Micron

Education:

• Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronics.
• Course work in AI/ML, VLSI, semiconductor process is desirable, but not required.
