Job DescriptionThe Staff Web Engineer – Full Stack (Frontend Heavy) will play a key role in building scalable, consumer-facing web applications within the Marketplace domain in Experian Consumer Services. This role focuses on strong frontend development while having a good understanding of backend (Java) systems to contribute to end-to-end solution design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test key programs within Marketplace Engineering
- Build clean, intuitive, and responsive user interfaces that represent Experian to its consumers
- Develop technical solutions with a strong focus on quality, scalability, and performance
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product management, and PMO on product roadmaps and quarterly planning
- Participate in code and design reviews to identify issues early and reduce rework
- Ensure stable production operations with a focus on uptime, performance, and reliability
- Work effectively as part of a global engineering team, ensuring strong collaboration, communication, and timely delivery
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
- 8 to 11 years of UI engineering experience using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript
- Strong expertise in modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular
- Experience building modern frontend architectures including Server‑Driven UI (SDUI), GraphQL, and Micro Frontends (MFE)
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and cross‑browser compatibility
- Experience with unit and end‑to‑end testing frameworks (Jest, Karma, Jasmine, Playwright, etc.)
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or similar frameworks (nice to have)
- Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization techniques and best practices
- Good understanding of Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL APIs and backend integration patterns
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed systems concepts
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control systems (Git), and build tools
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices
