Our team is engaged in designing, delivering and supporting Digital Tech Services for all CHC worldwide.

We deliver our solutions in a highly competitive market answering FMCH needs and sometimes supporting regulated environments (GxP, SoX and other regional or local regulations).

Our team operates in an international context, serving all markets in most of the countries around the world.

Digital Tech encompasses following capabilities: Integration, Enterprise Architecture, Operations, Cloud engineering, Platform Engineering (e.g. DevOps & related framework), Enabling Platforms (ServiceNow, Observability, Chatbots, RPA, …), Digital Workplace and more “classical” infrastructures (hosting, network, servers, …).

Within Digital Operations we want to develop a stronger Site Reliability Engineering (“SRE”) approach, based on current market best practices. Main tools related to this area are ITSM platform (ServiceNow) and Monitoring (Splunk, New Relic, …).

As “Automation Expert”, you are responsible for monitoring, automating, and improving the reliability, performance and availability of our Digital landscape (Ops focus). This role bridges the gap between Product Owners teams and Operations, focusing on enhancing applications reliability through automation and continuous integration delivery (CI/CD). As a specialist in automation for Operations, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring seamless application, platform and infrastructures operations, minimizing & avoiding incidents.

Main responsibilities

  • Get inputs from Operations Leads, accountable of excellence of Operations of their Digital Business domains, to evaluate and prioritize value-added axis for optimization & automation
  • Manage demands, pipeline and portfolio of optimization & automations demands
  • Based on DevOps framework built and managed by Infrastructure team, create automations (script, workflow and pipelines) to automate routine tasks, reducing manual interventions and human errors
  • Collaborate with Product owners and other Operations team members to prevent incidents
  • As needed, participate in incident response and root cause analysis ensuring timely resolution and identifying axis for optimization / automation
  • Propose enhancements to existing processes, tools & systems
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, sharing insights and best practices
  • Ensure proper compliance with Sanofi, CHC rules, policies, standards and applicable regulations (GxP, SOx, …)

About you

Technical background required

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, with various proven experiences in international context across global organizations
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts and best practices, along with experience in implementing & using CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Strong problem-solving knowledge & experience and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in ServiceNow, Monitoring (typically Splunk & New Relic), PowerAutomate, RPA (typically Automation Anywhere, UIPath, ...), PowerBI... to be able to propose PoC of relevant automations / visualizations and coordinate final code execution
  • Ability to code, review code or propose code, typically for PoC, in tools like ITSM Platform (ServiceNow), Monitoring (Splunk, New Relic), PowerAutomate, PowerBI…
  • Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript for scripting and automation
  • Knowledge of Cloud-native platforms, especially Azure and AWS, but also Veeva, Salesforce, ServiceNow… and their automation capabilities
  • Strong understanding of Information Technologies (including cloud, network…), architecture, …
  • Strong project management & agile skillset with ability to lead teams (technical or functional), especially in an automation development context
  • Knowledge on lean & problem-solving methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, A3, 8D, 5W2H…) with focus on continuous improvement and boost performance of teams
  • ITSM / ITIL knowledge
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Automation Professional (CAP), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar.

Soft skills required

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in IT automation, preferably in the healthcare or consumer goods industry
  • Proven experience working & performing in global team, in a matrix organization, with strong capacity to manage activities across web meetings and collaborative solutions
  • Ability to lead & take ownership even in unclear situations. Contribute to clear the unclear
  • Ability to provide innovative solutions, propose ideas to solve a problem and implement them
  • Ability to drive teams (e.g. follow-up on requirements, ensure respect of the framework, ...)
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with ability to educate and adapt “tech” language to the audience
  • Curious, open-minded, « out of the box » thinking
  • Agile and continuous improvement mindset, with critical-thinking and root-cause-analysis approach
  • Fluent in English
