Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is GE Aerospace’s multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Pushing the boundaries of innovation every day, engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
Role Overview:
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with product leader and business leads to understand new changes, including enhancements, new developments, and rollout initiatives; translate business requirements into functional designs and solution roadmaps.
- Lead new rollouts (Operating Units, Legal Entities, sets of books/ledgers, bank accounts, tax configurations), ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and compliance requirements.
- Serve as the functional architect for rollout and development projects; own and govern Oracle EBS setups and configurations for AP, GL, iSupplier and CM (e.g.COA design, banks, payment methods/formats, approvals, accounting setups, SLA rules).
- Work with vendor teams working on developments/Rollouts in the Finance area; enforce code and configuration quality and optimize delivery for value.
- Act as Finance SME for production-critical issues; perform impact analysis, triage complex problems, and drive root cause and corrective actions across EBS and integrated systems.
- Play role of Architect for custom solutions/extensions, RICEW objects, and integrations on top of Oracle EBS; maintain functional design authority, documentation, and decision logs for changes.
- Learn custom products within the Source-to-Pay landscape that intersect with Finance; ensure end-to-end process integrity and data quality.
- Define and maintain integration patterns between EBS and peripheral systems (e.g., imaging/Perceptive, payments/RightFax or bank interfaces, tax, treasury, data lake, other strategic ERPs), ensuring data accuracy, reconciliation, and error handling.
- Understand close calendar execution for AP/Finance; Support period open/close, reconciliations, subledger to GL posting, and intercompany processes when needed; ensure deadlines are met with high quality and compliance.
- Implement Flight Deck and Lean fundamentals to drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost; facilitate Kaizens, standard work, and visual management for Finance processes.
- Demonstrate strategic, expert-level problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity; communicate complex functional topics in clear business terms.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 15 years of professional experience, Or Master’s in Business or Finance/CA with 12+ years of professional experience.
- 10+ years of hands-on Oracle EBS Finance experience with 3–5 Years end-to-end implementations focused on AP, iSupplier, GL, and CM.
- Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay processes,
- Deep knowledge of Oracle Finance modules and setups (AP, GL, CM), including Subledger Accounting (SLA), payment formats, bank integrations, iSupplier and period close processes.
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance concepts (e.g., accruals, 3-way match, intercompany, foreign currency, tax, cash management, reconciliations).
- Demonstrated experience partnering with business stakeholders, finance controllers, and audit/compliance teams.
- Willingness to work in platform-agnostic roles and learn adjacent tools where needed.
- Familiarity with software design principles, operational support practices, documentation standards, and problem-solving techniques, including requirements breakdown and effort estimation.
