Sr. Software Engineer - Jmeter & Performance Engineering

Scope:

• Analyze solution architecture and make recommendations to optimize performance.
• Analyzes and optimizes components to take advantage of project specific databases and system configurations.
• Assist other team members with benchmarking and sizing exercises.
• Maintain direct communication between the project manager, project team and other JDA associates as required.
• Provide technical expertise during the project, including performance tuning, DB design, installation, stress/load testing and interface development work.
• Provide technical expertise on development projects as necessary.
• Understand technical needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.

• Software: Java, Springboot, Gradle, GIT, Hibernate, Rest API, OAuth
• Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant
• Microservices architecture.
• Cloud Architecture: MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, HD insight, Application gateway, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD)
• Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NOSQL, RDBMS,
• Springboot, Gradle GIT, Ignite.

What you’ll do:

• Write JMeter tests for the identified testcases.
• Execute Benchmark, load, stress, endurance, and other non-functional tests.
• Monitor application logs to determine system behavior. Address all technical issues; facilitate the resolution and necessarily follow up with Development and other cross-functional departments.
• Analyze the CPU Utilization, Memory usage, Network usage, Garbage Collection and DB Parameters and DB Reports to verify the performance of the applications.
• Generate performance graphs, session reports and other related documentation required for validation and analysis.
• Publish results and receive appropriate signoff. Prepare detail status reports and monitoring of all defects and issues.
• Identifying memory leakage, connection issues & Bottleneck problem in the application.

What we are looking for:

• STEM degree or hands on experience between 5 - 8 with Expertise in Performance engineering/testing tools using Jmeter
• Expertise in Test Planning, Test Estimation, Test Strategy, Workload Design, Test Cases Design, Test Environment Setup, Test Data Setup, Defect Management & Configuration Management
• Strong knowledge on SQLSERVER and ORACLE DB
• Experience in Git, JIRA, Jenkins, TM4J or any test management tool
• Experience in Integration with Blaze meter
• Experience in Monitoring on Azure cloud
• Experience in Working knowledge of Linux.
