Job Description

Job Summary: Invesco Technology is seeking a dynamic Technology Leader for Finance Applications. The role focuses on delivering innovative solutions and improvements to our global finance systems, primarily using Oracle EPM Cloud products. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders in Corporate Finance to execute the Finance Systems roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs. This leadership position is crucial for bridging business and technical realms, guiding architects and developers to deliver on key projects, and maintaining strong relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders.The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about finance technology, with a strong ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical deliverables. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse global team, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to deliver user-centric, valuable products.Job Responsibilities :Production Support Responsibilities: Oversee the production support activities, ensuring the stability and performance of finance systems. Develop and implement incident management and resolution processes to minimize downtime and impact on business operations. Provide timely support and communication to stakeholders during production issues, and continuously improve support practices to enhance system reliability and user satisfaction.Strategic Alignment and Communication: Ensure that all initiatives across the portfolio, including projects, production support, enhancements, and team management, are aligned with broader business objectives. Maintain clear and consistent communication with teams, business partners, and senior leaders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the portfolio lifecycle.Team Leadership and Development: Lead and manage a team of finance technology professionals, including developers, system analysts, and technical scrum masters/project managers. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.Solution Design and Delivery: Utilize extensive experience in designing and delivering technology solutions within a global organization. Oversee the end-to-end delivery of IT programs, projects, and support initiatives, collaborating with business partners across multiple time zones to ensure successful outcomes.Architectural Oversight: Work closely with architects to define, design, and implement a robust long-term architecture for the finance systems portfolio. Ensure that the architecture meets both current and future business needs, supporting scalability, flexibility, and sustainability.Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of portfolio scope, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, addressing competing timelines and demands to deliver outcomes on time and within budget.Quality Assurance and Testing: Ensure rigorous quality assurance processes are in place, including unit, systems, integration, and regression testing. Support the development and implementation of automated test scripts to enhance the efficiency and reliability of regression testing.Vendor and Partner Collaboration: Collaborate with external product vendors and systems integrators to deliver comprehensive solutions. Manage relationships and ensure that all parties are aligned with portfolio goals and timelines.Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in implementing and managing Oracle EPM Cloud products. Hands-on expertise is essential for effectively bridging business requirements with technical solutions.
  • Expertise: The candidate should have extensive knowledge of EPM modules, including EDMCS, EPBCS, FCCS, ARCS, TRCS, PCMCS, and working knowledge of the Oracle ERP Suite.  Candidate should be capable of providing technology solutions for these areas.
  • Business Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of finance business processes, enabling effective translation of business needs into technical specifications and solutions.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading technology teams, including setting strategic direction, managing team performance, and fostering a collaborative culture .
  • Talent assessment and upskilling: Strong background on assessing skill gaps and resolving by having a right mix of technology and functional resources within the team and cross skill to address skill gaps.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting / computer science, or a related field is preferred, although relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Global and Multicultural Awareness: Experience working in a global, multicultural environment, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities this presents.
  • Attention to Detail and Proactivity: A meticulous and organized approach to work, with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Stress Management and Adaptability: Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, managing tight deadlines and competing priorities with confidence.
  • Certifications: Oracle Certifications are preferred, as they demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field.

This role requires a visionary leader who is both technically adept and strategically minded, capable of guiding a diverse team towards achieving business and technological excellence in a global setting.
