The role involves designing and enhancing Java applications, collaborating with teams, performing code reviews, and troubleshooting technical issues.
We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java 17, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.
The ideal candidate will be an Individual Contributor who has hands-on experience in migration projects, application security, vulnerability management, and CI/CD pipelines.
The role involves working closely with technical teams to modernize legacy systems, ensure secure application development, and support scalable, high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 17 and Spring Boot
- Implement and manage Spring Security for authentication, authorization, and secure APIs
- Identify, analyze, and remediate application security vulnerabilities
- Participate in and support migration projects, transitioning legacy systems to modern architectures
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs following best practices
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
- Ensure high code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to coding standards
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions
- Work independently as an Individual Contributor, owning deliverables end to end
Key Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17
- Proficiency in Spring Boot and Spring Security
- Experience in application security and vulnerability management
- Proven exposure to migration projects (legacy to modern architecture)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines (Jenkins, Git, etc.)
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
