Responsibilities and Impact:

Assist in SOX Compliance Activities:

  • Provide support in the development and implementation of SOX controls: Ensures robust controls are in place to safeguard financial integrity.
  • Participate in the documentation and design of internal controls over financial reporting: Enhances the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of SOX compliance reports for management and the audit committee: Provides critical insights for informed decision-making.

Conduct Risk Assessments:

  • Help identify and assess potential risks to financial reporting: Mitigates risks that could impact financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of existing controls and recommending improvements: Strengthens the overall control environment.

Monitor and Ensure Compliance:

  • Perform regular monitoring of internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX requirements: Maintains ongoing adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Document audit findings and assist in the remediation of identified control deficiencies: Ensures timely correction of control weaknesses.

Support Internal and External Audits:

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during SOX compliance audits: Facilitates thorough and efficient audit processes.
  • Provide necessary documentation and support to audit activities: Ensures auditors have the information needed for accurate assessments.

Maintain Documentation:

  • Ensure comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of all SOX controls, policies, and procedures: Preserves a clear and accessible record of compliance efforts.
  • Assist in maintaining the SOX compliance database and document management system: Enhances organization and retrieval of compliance documents.

Training and Communication:

  • Support the development and delivery of SOX compliance training programs for employees: Empowers employees with knowledge to uphold compliance standards.
  • Assist in communicating SOX-related policies and procedures within the organization: Promotes awareness and understanding of compliance requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit (External / Internal), or compliance, preferably with a multinational or Big 4 Audit firms.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and internal control frameworks.
    • Experience with audit or compliance software tools, knowledge and experience of Wdesk (Workiva) is preferred.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification CPA/CA
