Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Develop software systems using agile software development and methodology. Participate in daily meetings, Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute towards entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) of upcoming projects. Collaborate with various teams to identify the scope of work and use tools such as JIRA to document software requirements. Design and document software systems, ensure non-functional requirements, architectural standards and guidelines are met, review with LOB architects, and address any deficiencies. Ensure that design is robust, extensible, and follows best practices. Develop applications, including presentation, business and persistence layers of the application. Use code application functionality and ensure that security scans are performed, and all vulnerabilities are fixed. Create unit tests and perform integration tests to verify that developed software meets the requirements. Work closely with the business and service delivery team to ensure appropriate business measures are defined. Examine applications to ensure adherence to application engineering guidelines, processes and procedures. Utilize multiple programming languages and software technologies to ensure applications are suitably fit for use and admissible for maintenance and upgrades. Test, modify and implement application codes. Make standard modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high-level specifications, application support and industry standards. Evaluate service level issues and suggested enhancements escalated by the Product and support teams to diagnose and address underlying system problems and inefficiencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, IT Associate/Consultant, or related occupation.
