Role - Software Engineer
The Group: The IWPT Marketplace team at Morningstar is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to develop and maintain our enterprise grade applications built using .Net Core and VueJS. Candidate should have hands-on experience as a full-stack developer in end-to-end development using software development best practices and standards.
The Role: As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development, reliability, and performance of our applications. You will be working as a full-stack developer and collaborate closely with stakeholders and internal teams to develop new features, enhance functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a full-stack developer for the development and maintenance of applications using .NET Core and front-end JavaScript frameworks (preferably VueJS/Angular).
- Collaborate with stakeholders and internal teams for design and development of new features and enhancements, resolving issues in application.
- Implement enhancements to improve the reliability, performance, and usability of our applications.
- Document development processes, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions to ensure knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in .Net Core and Front-end libraries/frameworks (VueJS/Angular) for development and maintenance of applications.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases and queries.
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software development or a related field.
- Experience developing and supporting distributed applications or similar financial systems is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of financial markets and systems.
Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
