We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer in Data Foundations to focus on the ServiceNow platform, specializing in CMDB (Configuration Management Database), CSDM (Common Service Data Model), and ITOM (Discovery and Service Mapping). This individual will play a critical role in advancing our ServiceNow capabilities, ensuring our data foundation supports strategic initiatives and operational excellence. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • CMDB Management: Lead the design, configuration, and maintenance of the CMDB, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the CSDM framework. 

  • Data Governance: Develop and enforce policies and best practices for effective data management within the CMDB, ensuring data quality, compliance, and consistency across the organization. 

  • Discovery & Mapping: Implement and enhance ITOM Discovery and Service Mapping, enabling real-time visibility into enterprise assets and dependencies. 

  • Solution Design: Develop innovative solutions to meet business requirements within the ServiceNow platform, adhering to best practices and enterprise architecture standards. 

  • Platform Optimization: Proactively identify areas for improvement in the ServiceNow ecosystem, implementing enhancements to improve performance and user experience. 

  • Compliance: Ensure solutions meet regulatory and organizational compliance standards, including ITIL, GxP, and SOX requirements where applicable. 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and leadership to align ServiceNow capabilities with organizational goals. 

 

 

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

  • Proven 6+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer and/or Admin, including at least 5 years focusing on CMDB, CSDM, and ITOM. 

  • Strong expertise in ITOM modules such as Discovery and Service Mapping. 

  • Solid understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub. 

  • Solid understanding of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM). 

  • Proficiency in scripting (JavaScript), and experience with APIs (REST/SOAP). 

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices. 

  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITOM or CMDB. 

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). 

  • Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceutical, GxP, SOX). 

  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
