Location
This is a remote opportunity. But the base location of the role holder has to be Mumbai.
Desired experience:
A solid understanding of computer science fundamentals
3-7 years of experience in building technical developer documentation in technology companies.
Sound knowledge of version control tools like Git, software development lifecycle, DevOps tools
Comfortable with IDEs (VSCode), APIs, and programming language (any) to understand the concepts and convert to user-understandable formats
Can read and understand code in any one language. Should be able to use tools like Google to translate code into other languages
Has working experience with Markdown ● Impeccable writing and editing skills
What will you do?
Build high-quality technical content in easy-to-understand plain, clear, and simple language in an attempt to continuously improve BrowserStack documentation
Create templates for other writers to leverage
Contributes to setting process and building the style guide
Independently owns the documentation roadmap for assigned BrowserStack products
Works with Product Managers, the Design team, and Engineering to build documentation for their product
Develop a solid understanding of the product by trying, testing, and simulating user behavior with the content
Sets up IDEs and debugs a few lines of code
Translates code snippets in one programming language to other programming languages
Peer review other writers’ work
