What We Need:
We are seeking a Senior System Engineer with experience in IT infrastructure to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible and be able to centrally manage servers and IT workflows.
The Impact You’ll Make:
As a System Engineer, you will play a key role in driving the adoption of our IT infrastructure and ensuring its smooth operation. You will work closely with other members of the IT team to design, implement, and manage the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of applications running on Windows and Linux servers.
What You’ll Do:
- Centrally manage a broad fleet of both on-prem and cloud-hosted Windows and Linux servers of varying versions and flavors using IaC tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Centrally manage virtualization infrastructure using Vmware vcenter, ESXi, NSX-T, vRealize, Site Recovery Manager, Lifecycle Manager, etc, providing creative solutions to the most complex problems.
- Apply wide-ranging experience to assess the most complex situations and provide IT server/system support to engineering groups in the US, Canada, and China
- Generate or build complex tools to streamline and simplify the creation, configuration, and decommission of server assets across NetBrain
- Oversee the application of existing processes and develop new processes across IT systems for backup & restoring, patching, logging, & identity and access management.
- Work with security team to identify and remediate the most complex system vulnerabilities.
You Have…
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in IT Systems Management
- 8+ years of experience with server administration of VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Windows Servers, Linux Servers, and hands-on experience deploying Rackmount servers
- 8+ years of experience with patch management tools for OS and third-party apps
- 8+ years of experience with server vulnerability management and remediation processes
- 8+ years of experience of networking principals and protocols, such as DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, DHCP, server virtualization and Active Directory integration
- Experience with Azure Active Directory/Microsoft Entra ID is a plus, including directory synchronization, single sign-on (SSO), identity governance, etc
- Experience with public cloud technologies is a plus, such as GCP, AWS and/or Azure
- Ability to work on-sire for at least 3 days a week
