Team Overview
We are developing a highly scalable real-time communications (RTC) platform leveraging WebRTC to power audio and video workloads. The system is designed to handle large volumes of concurrent sessions while delivering ultra-low latency, telecom-grade reliability, and multi-region cloud resilience.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in real-time media systems, signaling, and cloud-native infrastructure.
Primary Skills
- Proficiency in C/C++, including multithreading, memory management, and low-level networking.
- Production experience and understanding of:
UDP / TCP, RTP / RTCP, ICE / STUN / TURN, and NAT traversal. - Hands-on experience in WebRTC internals, SIP / VoIP signaling, audio/video pipelines, jitter handling, and latency optimization.
- Hands-on experience with open-source RTC stacks such as LiveKit, Janus, or similar WebRTC platforms.
- Strong debugging skills in production environments (packet captures, logs, RTP analysis).
Secondary Skills
- Experience with AI voice systems (STT / TTS / VAD).
- Cloud experience with GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
- Exposure to ACE (C++) framework.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable audio/video systems using WebRTC, RTP/RTCP, and WebSocket-based signaling.
- Build and enhance cloud media server/controller components including signaling layer, TURN routing, call control, and media processing.
- Optimize performance for low latency, high throughput, and network resilience.
- Debug and resolve call failures, media negotiation issues, voice quality degradation, jitter, and packet loss.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues.
- Contribute to performance benchmarking and system scalability improvements.
Experience/Education Qualification
- Experience: 5+ years
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
- (Optional but preferred) Master’s degree (M.Tech/M.S/MCA.) in a relevant field is a plus.
