Make Your Mark:
As a Senior Software Engineer , you will play a crucial role in building the next generation of BlackLine application and data platform with focus on SAP ERP components. You will be driving innovation into our product suite, especially with a focus on the business logic in the SAP module FI , CO , as well as financial postings in the SD and MM and SAP Basis domain. Emphasis is on SAP Applications, or SAP services , including troubleshooting, tuning, and preparing and proactive delivering solutions and designs for new solutions with a great sense of software architecture.

You'll Get To:
- Provide technical expertise in requirements analysis, design, effort estimation, development, testing and delivery of highly scalable software for the Journal Entry process module .
- Work with product management , your own team and other engineering teams to understand stated and unstated needs and turn them into functional and technical requirements.
- Maintain a strong sense of business value and return on investment in planning, design, and communication.
- Play an active role in t echnical design and architecture discussions and help drive technical decisions while making appropriate trade-offs on technology, functionality, robustness, performance, and extensibility.
- Estimate the project scope and timelines, and consistently deliver on those commitments.
- Design, develop, test, optimize , scale, maintain and improve highly scalable and secure distributed backend services while adhering to requirements, coding and quality standards.
- Provide Unit Test as default to new or touched components.
- Develop functional and technical specifications, and test plans .
- Participate hands-on in implementation of components of products.
- Mentor and coach colleagues, lead ing by example for them, and guide them to solutions on complex design issues and do peer code reviews.
- Research, test, benchmark, and evaluate new tools and technologies, and recommend ways to implement them in product development.
- Maintain high standards of software quality and technical excellence within the team by establishing good practices and writing clean, testable, maintainable, and secure code.
- Proactively identify issues , bottlenecks, gaps, or other areas of concerns or opportunities and work to either directly affect change, or advocate for that change.
- Perform critical maintenance, deployment, and release support activities, including occasional off-hours support
What You'll Bring:
Years of Experience in Related Field: 5+ yrs of experience with SAP ABAP Programming .
Education: Bachelor or Master in Math, or BE / B.Tech or ME / M.Tech in computer Science, or (pre) master in Information Technology or related field .
Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
S AP Developer function include but is not limited to:
- Environment, Development tools and Platforms: S/4HANA / ECC6.0
- Fluent with ABAP OO programming
- Acquainted to ABAP for FI, COPA, Tax management and related data sources
- Used to think in Service-model driven architecture, rather than imperative software , with emphasis to performance
- Being able to build the application using Clean Code principles e.g. SOLID and RDD /DDD
- Test driven development (TDD)
- Master in reorganizing or refactoring code
- Development of CDS views , with knowledge of Associations and Annotations
- Knowledge about SAP Web services in JSON format
- Fluent with a test tool like Postman
- Proactive and solution driven
- Well-considered and thorough in analyzing problems
- Capable to write and technical documentation, including UML charts

- Assist the support department in Customer incidents
- Assist Product Owners to define valuable business functions or work breakdown

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
