The Impact of a Senior Software Engineer at Coupa:
Coupa’s Senior Software Engineers – React play a critical role in shaping our best-in-class user experience across our enterprise cloud platform. You’ll lead the design and development of intuitive, performant, and scalable front-end applications built primarily with React. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and cross-functional Engineering teams to deliver elegant, impactful solutions that delight users and drive business value.
What You'll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain complex, high-quality front-end features using React and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering teams to define clear interfaces and integration points.
- Write clean, efficient, and testable code while enforcing best practices in performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
- Contribute to the evolution of shared component libraries and design systems.
- Participate in technical design reviews and lead discussions on architecture, scalability, and front-end strategy.
- Partner with backend engineers working in Ruby on Rails or Java/Spring to deliver cohesive, end-to-end solutions.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve developer efficiency, system performance, and overall product quality.
What You Will Bring to Coupa:
- 5–8 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3+ years in React.
- Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3, including responsive and accessible design.
- Strong collaboration skills, particularly when working with globally distributed teams.
- Familiarity with backend technologies such as Ruby on Rails or Java/Spring is a plus.
- Knowledge of web performance optimization, UI design systems, and best practices for usability and accessibility.
