In this role, you will:

  • Facilitate the scrum process with cross functional impact that involve moderately complex projects, non-projects, or maintenance work
  • Guide the scrum teams to follow Agile and Scrum practices to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint
  • Optimize scrum team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance
  • Deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met
  • Partner with discipline managers about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards
  • Facilitate the Scrum Agile ceremonies for the teams
  • Collaborate with product owners, program or project managers to communicate delivery of work product from the team and escalate key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Agile Scrum Master experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Knowledge and understanding of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology software: release management
  • Experience using the team collaboration software Confluence
  • Experience of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) experience or exposure to any other scaling principles
  • Agile Scrum (CSM), SAFE certifications or other advanced Agile certifications
  • Experience designing and leading Scrum of Scrums
  • Experience moving teams and organizations from Waterfall to Agile methodologies and Agile Transformations
  • JIRA experience
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM I)

Job Expectations:

  • Experience in HR Service Delivery in Banking domain is most preferable.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Agile techniques such as: User Story development/sizing, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing, Pairing and the use of Agile Games 
  • Articulated knowledge of Agile principles and practices, ability to transfer that understanding at all levels of the organization
  • Expanded understanding of Agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban, XP, Scaled team structure)
  • Ability to leverage understanding of facilitation, continuous improvement, empowerment, transparency and servant leadership to empower team growth
  • Experience with multiple methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Dev Ops
  • Understanding of Agile empirical data, as well as valuable Scrum patterns and techniques such as: burn-down techniques, numerous retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate efforts with multiple teams within a matrixed organization
  • Experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Agile Central, Confluence, etc.,)
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate in a matrixed organization and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to consult, facilitate and coach while adapting to the needs and learning styles of a diverse team.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 2+ years as a member of a Scrum team in another role (Product Owner, Business Analyst, Developer, Architect)
