Key responsibilities:
Follow best practices and QA methodologies and processes, working across critical stages of the product lifecycle from define to build
Understand the business use cases and carry out testing to ensure top quality of delivered solutions
Understand and analyse the Requirement Specifications and design test scenarios
Review and analyse completeness of test coverage
Carry out Functional testing and Non-functional testing
Solve technical issues and challenges in testing work
Execute Test Scripts, Defect tracking in applicable tool, Status Reporting, Defect Reporting
Drive continuous improvement from quality perspective
Responsible for communicating the status of ongoing work to stakeholders accurately
About you:
Proven experience as a Quality Engineer (Manual & Automation)
Demonstratable experience in QA methodologies
Familiarity with all types of testing viz functional, integration, regression, smoke/sanity, acceptance, system testing, non-functional: performance, scalability, load and soak
Good written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate across cross functional teams
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience required:
2-4 years in Quality Engineer role
Proficiency in building and maintaining automation frameworks using Python/pytest (preferred) or Java.
Solid experience with UI automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) and API/service automation (REST Assured, Karate, Postman, etc.).
Experience validating microservices and distributed systems in enterprise environments.
Working knowledge of Azure Cloud services and deployments (preferred).
Experience integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).
Experience on SQL query with RDBMS (PostgreSQL)
Experience with Jira, Confluence and TestRail
Demonstrated ability to apply AI/ML techniques across the test lifecycle, such as test case generation, defect prediction, test data creation, and automation optimization.
Strong understanding of Agile, shift-left testing practices, and quality engineering principles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
Qualifications:
A degree in a relevant subject, or can show how you've built up your experience and skills over time 'on-the-job'
Knowledge of professional financial domain is a bonus, but you must be able to demonstrate hands-on experience of crafting successful user experiences that met business and user needs for complex domains
