Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Performance & API Testing Engineer to ensure our SaaS platform is scalable, reliable, and high-performing.
This role is beyond execution - you will run tests, monitor systems, derive insights, and recommend actionable improvements to engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute performance tests using JMeter or similar tools
• Simulate real-world workloads and monitor system performance (latency, throughput, resource usage)
• Analyze results, identify bottlenecks, and suggest improvements to Dev teams
• Perform API testing using Postman and automation tools
• Build and maintain API test suites and integrate with CI/CD pipelines
• Improve API coverage including edge cases and negative scenarios
• Collaborate with Dev, QA, and DevOps teams for performance tuning and issue resolution

SME Expectations

• Act as a go-to person for performance and API testing
• Provide clear insights, not just reports
• Suggest practical improvements for performance and API reliability
• Bring new ideas to enhance API testing coverage and effectiveness

Basic Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science or IT (mandatory)
• Strong proficiency in Java (mandatory)
• 4–6 years of experience in Performance Testing and API Testing

Core Skills

• Hands-on experience with JMeter
• Strong experience in API testing using Postman
• Good understanding of REST APIs and microservices
• Ability to analyze performance metrics and identify issues
• Basic scripting/automation experience (Java/JS/Python)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools
• Experience in SaaS or cloud environments
