Senior Member Technical Staff 2 ( L3 Product Support -Java, Oracle)

Model N is seeking Senior Member of Technical Staff-2 for its Product Development team in Hyderabad, India. This role requires a unique blend of software development expertise, problem-solving skills, and customer focus to help diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues efficiently. This role requires working closely with customers, engineering, and product teams to provide high-quality support and continuously improve our solutions. Successful candidates will have worked in organizations that have produced browser-based enterprise business applications (SaaS), will be able to develop at different levels in a software system, and will have developing design skills. 

Job Responsibilities

• Software Development, Fix, and Test Issues:
• Be able to take up a feature and develop/code it to the requirements.
• Develop patches, workarounds, or configurations to resolve problems.
• Should be able to define and write JUnit tests
• Should be able to identify and reuse existing components or define new reusable
• Involve in Performance tuning when required
• Be able to prioritize work assignments and deliver things on time
• Design considerations: Person should be able to have a good understanding of Backend, and frontend technologies and able to define High-level design clearly.
• Triage and Debug Issues: Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot technical issues reported by customers. Use logs, debugging tools, and system diagnostics to pinpoint root causes.
• Customer Interaction: Engage with customers via email, chat, or phone to gather details, provide updates, and guide them through resolutions. Ensure a positive customer experience.
• Mentorship / Guiding – Apart from individual work, the person should be able to guide and do code and low-level design reviews done by junior team engineers.
• Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, QA, and product teams to escalate complex issues and contribute to long-term fixes.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles to improve self-service support.
• Process Improvement: Continuously analyze support cases to identify patterns, improve troubleshooting workflows, and recommend product enhancements.

Job Qualifications

• 7-9 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong object-oriented design and Java programming skills.
• Enterprise application development experience with J2EE application servers, preferably WebLogic or WebSphere.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL, PLSQL, and performance tuning is a plus.
• Experience with debugging tools, logging systems, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience in security fundamentals of enterprise applications as well as cloud systems. 
• Good understanding of browser and servlet-based application structure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Unix or Linux preferred.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Fast learner, able to pick up new ideas and approaches quickly.
• BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Computer Science, or equivalent.
