Design DB solutions, implement automation (IaC, Ansible, Terraform), manage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, enforce security/compliance (GDPR/HIPAA/SOC2), and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Description and Requirements
Database Management and A dministration:
* Lead the a dministration, monitoring, and maintenance of IBM DB2(UDB/LUW) databases, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
* Perform regular database backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning.
* Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, optimizing queries and database structure.
* Design and implement database solutions, upgrades, and patches.
* Backup and Recovery Management:
* Implement and manage comprehensive backup strategies for IBM DB2(UDB/LUW) databases, both on-premises and in the cloud using backup tools( Rubrik,)
* Conduct disaster recovery exercises and ensure business continuity in the event of data loss or system failures.
* Performance Tuning and Optimization:
* Conduct database performance assessments, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
* Optimize queries, indexes, and other database objects to improve system efficiency.
* Monitor resource usage (CPU, memory, disk) and implement strategies to ensure resource optimization.
* Cloud Integration:
* Manage IBM DB2(UDB/LUW) database instances deployed in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or IBM DB2(UDB/LUW) Cloud I nfrastructure.
* Ensure proper database configuration, migration, and optimization within the cloud i nfrastructure.
* Implement cloud-specific features such as autoscaling, disaster recovery, and security measures for cloud databases.
* Collaborate with cloud architects to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud database architectures.
* Database programming skills:
* Very good experience in Database programming skills for designing and coding, optimizing and tuning the SQL and PL/SQL queries.
* Strong knowledge in debug the code and provide appropriate solution to developers and application team.
* Automation I mplementation:
* Lead the design, implementation and maintenance of automated infrastructure solutions using Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible, Elastic and Terraform.
* Lead the develop and management of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure deployments using Ansible and Elastic.
* Automate database health checks, monitoring and alerting system to proactively address potential issues.
* Security and Compliance:
* Implement robust database security policies to safeguard data, including access control, encryption, and auditing.
* Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2.
* Conduct periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments on IBM DB2(UDB/LUW) databases.
* Collaboration:
* Work closely with cross-function al teams, including developers, system a dministrators, network engineers, and security specialists.
