About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Institutional Investment Operations Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Assist in lifecycle support for institutional trade flow
- Manage client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation, as well as, work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issues
- Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables
- Contribute to large scale planning related to process, procedures and efficiencies with internal and industry related initiatives
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
- Provide leadership to bring groups together to resolve multi-faceted complex issues
- Serve as a leader on projects along with internal and industry related initiatives
- Review and analyze complex functional and operational tasks that require in-depth evaluation
- Exercise independent judgment and resolution to guide the deliverable
- Resolve moderately complex issues
- Lead team to meet functional area projects, and process deliverables
- Leverage solid understanding of functions, policies, procedures and compliance requirements
- Mentor and assist analysts
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- MBA or an advanced degree (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years Product Data / Configuration/Collateral Operations experience with a top-tier bank, including experience in supervisory role and motivating and leading teams

- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with business partners and other support functions

Job Expectations:
- Requires 2 years Collateral operations, Collateral Onboarding of CSA, MSFTA & MRA Agreements, OTC Derivative system support experience. The candidate is also required to have a minimum of 4+ years of experience in working with various agreement builds into internal systems including various mapping exercises as well as ensuring all data processed is complete and accurate. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
- Change Leadership:
- Lead the change initiatives across the PRD function in a seamless manner in close partnership with the global stakeholders The successful individual will affect improvement across all aspects of delivery and Target Operating Model
- Identify opportunities for increasing operational efficiencies
- Measures effectiveness and efficiency of the Operational processes and should be able to drive technological interventions to build scale and efficiency
- Assist in projects on data interfaces between systems such as defining project scope, data requirements and sources/resources
- Participate in special projects revolving around data cleanups, process improvement analysis and reporting
- Convert business problem statements into cost effective, scalable, reliable & user-friendly solutions
- To plan & estimate efforts during analysis & requirements gathering phase.
- Risk & Controls Mindset:
- Ensure operational practices are in compliance with relevant risk standards, policies and regulations to maintain an effective control environment Responsible for Business Continuity, Breaches/Incidents and Quality Assurance
- Ensure updating of SOPs/ Issue Logs/ Exception Logs
- Ensure BCP strategy is in place for the team
- Ensure that the Daily Checklist is signed off by the managers/supervisors
- Should display an appreciation of control, quality and risk related issues. Ensure existent controls are followed by team
- Re-engineering Initiatives:
- Partner with Technology and the lines of business, to deep-dive and identify potential opportunities and drive towards executable solutions, improving controls and delivering cost saves
- To keep updated on trending Operations requirement and manage internal stake holders to build efficiencies of scale through IT as a platform
- Delivery of Strategic Programs:
- Support and manage the delivery of the Firm s strategic programs in a high quality, cost effective, timely and sustainable manner with risks and issues identified, prioritized, escalated and managed in a timely and open fashion This includes effective resource management (project / people / technology), and all budgetary and economic elements of delivery
Qualifications & Skills required:
