Role description summary
We are seeking an Enterprise Architect to govern, produce, and maintain the data architecture, application architecture and portfolio, and application integrations for all business domains. The successful candidate will work closely with business owners, enterprise architects, and application technical leads. He will be responsible to provide guidelines on the domains and to maintain the catalogs for data, data lineage, applications, and APIs. Likewise, it is required to document the architectures for current, target, and interim architecture stages. In line with that architecture roadmaps shall be published. The architectures shall comply with SES reference standards TMForum Open Digital Architecture (ODA) and MEF LSO.
Additionally, the role involves the support to project managers and application technical leads to ensure the deliverables are aligned with the target architecture.
This role requires proven experience in similar roles in telecommunications companies.

Primary responsibilities / Key result areas

• Lead the governance of application architecture and portfolio, data architecture and lineage, and integrations
• Define and publish the architecture artifacts and guidelines based on the reference standards, TMForum and MEF
• Collaborate with stakeholders (business owners, enterprise architects and technical leads) to capture their requirements, define target and transition architectures
• Ensure the target architecture is adopted be building up a close relation with stakeholders
• Manage the requirements architecture change requests
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in existing processes and integrations, and propose enhancements to optimize performance and efficiency
• Document and communicate the target architecture and the architecture roadmaps to the stakeholder
• Oversee transformation projects to ensure the deliverables do not deviate from the target architecture, identify project risks and propose mitigation actions

COMPETENCIES

• Experienced in solution & technical architectures, particularly in telecommunications
• Proficient in TM Forum's frameworks: Open Digital Architecutre, OpenAPIs, SID, TAM; MEF LSO and enterprise architecture frameworks: TOGAF, Architmate
• Strong knowledge of TMForum and MEF standards and enterprise architecture frameworks, in concrete ODA, OpenAPIs, SID, TAM, MEF LSO
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards
• Experienced managing the lifecycle of architecture artifacts
• Experienced applying enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF and Archimate
• Experienced with integration patterns, in concrete event driven, kappa, etc.
• Knowledgeable of integration platforms and, in concrete Kafka, Mulesoft
• Knowledgeable with integration documentation tools: API Hub/swagger hub, AsyncAPI
• Experienced with SysML and UML modelling tools, e.g., Visual Paradigm or equivalent
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills to present architecture to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and work in an agile mode
• A mindset of helping others to succeed

Qualifications & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Business Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 14 years of experience, of which 5 as solution architect, with a focus on telecommunications companies B2B (wholesale) business.
• Certifications of TMForum or MEF are highly desirable
• Training and certifications on enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Archimate, UML) are a plus
• Capable of preparing clear documentation and presentations adapted to target audience and stakeholders
• Knowledgeable on the use of enterprise architecture support tools (LeanIX or equivalent)
• Knowledgeable on the use of solution architecture support tools (LeanIX or equivalent)
• Experienced with documentation and reporting tools, in concrete Microsoft office suite, Microsoft Sharepoint, Power BI.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Azure DevOps)
