Senior Developer - Editorial and Publishing Solutions

 We are looking for a skilled Senior Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of tools and technology for editing and designing news, research articles, images, maps and data visualizations published and distributed on S&P Global websites and client-only subscription platforms and at events. This role will be based in India and will work closely with globally distributed teams.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain tools and solutions for editorial and publishing processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of the developed tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript.
• Experience with content management systems (CMS), APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in the financial information and analytics industry.
• Familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in digital publishing.
• Experience with data analytics/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Flourish, Infogram, Plotly…)
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
