Data Engineering is a multi-faceted role, where you can have focused or broad set of responsibilities, including:
- Defining metrics
- Instrumenting logging
- Acquiring/ingesting data
- Architecting & modeling data
- Transforming data
- Ensuring data quality, governance, and enablement
- Alerting, visualization, and reporting
- Working autonomously and adding perspective to the team
- Developing at scale and improving efficiency
- Embodying the goals of the business and team
- Leading projects
Minimum Qualifications / Your background:
- Bachelor's / Masters degree (or equivalent work experience) in a STEM field.
- 6+ Years of Experience in Data Engineering or related fields.
- Expertise in Python or other modern programming language development experience.
- Knowledge of advanced level capabilities in SQL and relational databases experience.
- Solid working knowledge of ETL (ELT), Data modeling, DataQuality, and Data Visualization/Dashboarding.
- Experience with data processing performance tuning and optimization.
- Understanding of the role of experimentation in product development.
- Familiarity with Anomaly detection solutions.
- Experience with logging specifications and processing.
- Experience working with product analytics.
- Experience with SaaS/Enterprise business models.
- Experience executing projects or programs which have had proven impact on business strategy and performance.
