The Team:

SPGI is a global leader in credit ratings, benchmarks and analytics for the global capital and commodity markets. Reporting directly to the Audit Director, you will be part of the global SPGI Internal Audit team with coverage for all SPGI businesses. The S&P Global Internal Audit Team is located in multiple regions around the globe.

The Impact:

You will be responsible for completing assigned audits and special projects as commissioned under the approved SPGI Audit Plan. In doing so, you will be expected to gain an understanding of processes and key controls, identify control gaps and assess risks, build strong ties with the business, and assist in assessing the overall internal control environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain LLM-based models to support internal audit processes.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that inform audit strategies.
  • Collaborate with audit teams to define requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Conduct research on emerging LLM technologies and methodologies to continuously improve audit practices.
  • Design and execute experiments to evaluate model performance and effectiveness.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation and reports on model development, findings, and recommendations.
  • Present insights and findings to stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy policies while handling sensitive information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of proven experience in transforming business problem into developing and deploying LLM-based models.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R, with proficiency in libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face Transformers.
  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis using SQL and other data processing tools.
  • Familiarity with audit processes and internal controls is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for model deployment.
  • Understanding of ethical AI practices and bias mitigation in model development.
