As the Leader for the Services Application Standards & Methods team, you will be responsible for:
Leading the global Services Application Standards & Methods team, providing technical, organizational, and people leadership aligned with business priorities and services engineering strategy.
Manage a team of technologists and engineering professionals engaged in:
Services controls software solutions development
Services application standards development
Standards governance and lifecycle maintenance
Engineering methods development & improvement
Reusable baseline solution development and standardization
Drive development and maintenance of controls application standards supporting the Services Value Stream across GT & ST controls for Combined Cycle, Fossil & Nuclear applications.
Develop and maintain the Nuclear software quality process and templates to support project execution to the expectations of Nuclear customers. Including; Software Management Plan (SMP), Software Configuration Management Plan (SCMP), Software Verification and Validation Plan (SVV), Software Requirements Specification (SRS), Software Design Document (SDD), and Software Traceability Matrix (STM).
Establish and sustain a robust framework for standards definition, review, approval, deployment, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Partner with Technical Application Engineering, Services Technical Leadership, and other engineering value streams to identify priorities, close standardization gaps, and improve execution consistency.
Provide Technical Support to ITO & OTR for ST and GT applications, as supplemental support for the Technical Leaders.
Manage the QMS / Work Instructions for the application of the application design standards for steam turbine / gas turbine applications, including Design Review processes & check lists, standard work instructions for GT and ST software applications.
Support the continuous improvement of the engineering execution through learning sessions, work instructions, design reviews, etc.
Own the project safety reviews for GT and ST controls applications.
Manage execution of Custom / Complex / First of A Kind’ controls applications.
Lead technical decision-making for complex or high-impact issues related to application standards and controls solution approaches.
Promote adoption of best practices, lessons learned, and knowledge sharing across global teams.
Build team capability in controls technologies, application engineering methods, and standards-based execution.
Provide technical oversight and governance for strategic initiatives related to controls application methods and standardized service solutions.
Support long-term roadmap development for standards, tools, methods, and technical capability needed for Services growth and execution excellence.
You will be responsible for building a strong team culture centered on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, customer focus, and inclusion, while developing the talent and organizational capability needed to meet current and future business needs.
You will also be responsible for workforce planning, talent development, employee engagement, performance management, and coaching.
As the Line of Balance Leader for the Services Value Stream, you will be responsible for:
Establishing & driving Line of Balance for Services Value Stream to provide strategic look-ahead, direction, coordination, and governance across various engineering teams, value streams and regions with specific focus to improve services controls engineering effectiveness KPIs – Delivery (OTD), Quality (FPY) & Cost (EAC).
Work closely with leadership and peer teams across Controls Engineering value streams to align priorities, technical approaches, interfaces, and execution plans for improving engineering efficiency, and reduce technical and execution risks.
Influence engineering direction by balancing technical, operational, and business considerations across a broad services portfolio.
Provide senior leadership visibility on LoB, risks, resource needs, and strategic opportunities for decision making.
As the Services Controls Liaison for Steam Power Services ITR, you will be responsible for:
• Act as the primary liaison / point of contact for Steam Power ITR on controls engineering requirements relevant to the Services Value Stream.
• Ensure effective translation of Steam Power ITR needs into actionable controls engineering priorities, standards, methods, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with internal controls engineering teams and technical leaders to support Steam Power ITR initiatives, requirements clarification, and execution alignment.
• Provide leadership in evaluating controls engineering impacts of Steam Power ITR programs, change requests, strategic initiatives, and technical requirements.
• Facilitate communication, decision-making, and issue resolution between Steam Power ITR and Controls Engineering stakeholders.
• Help ensure timely and technically sound support for Steam Power ITR requirements while maintaining alignment with broader Services and Controls Engineering & product strategies.
• Identify synergies, dependencies, and common solutions that can be leveraged across teams and value streams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s (Undergraduate) Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 15 years of engineering & leadership experience in controls engineering, including new technology / product development, new unit & services controls projects fulfillment, commissioning and after sales service in power domain.
Minimum 10 years of engineering experience with GE Vernova Mark series control system platforms.
Significant demonstrated experience leading global engineering or technology teams in a matrixed environment.
Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries and influence technical and business stakeholders at multiple levels.
Proven strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
