Senior Cloud Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Cloud Architect to join our dynamic Clario Cloud Services team. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert Cloud Architecture and Engineering support, driving the design, implementation, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure. Your contributions will be critical in enhancing the scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud services, ensuring we deliver top-tier solutions to our clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Serve as Cloud Architecture Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AWS-first solutions and enterprise-wide design decisions

• Lead and deliver end-to-end cloud architecture initiatives while mentoring junior architects and engineers

• Define solution architecture across applications, infrastructure, security, and data domains

• Design and implement AWS landing zones, multi-account network topologies, and governance frameworks

• Lead migration efforts from on-premises to AWS, including high availability and disaster recovery strategies

• Develop, document, and enforce cloud architecture standards and design patterns

• Collaborate with DevOps teams using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for automated deployments

• Guide Kubernetes (Amazon EKS) implementations including application deployment and external service exposure

• Partner with Information Security to ensure compliance with ISO, SOX, HIPAA, and other regulatory frameworks

• Present architectural recommendations to technical peers, stakeholders, and executive leadership

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 5–8 years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles

  4+ years of hands-on experience building AWS infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, VPCs, IAM, S3, etc.)

• Working knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and experience supporting containerized applications in production

• Basic understanding of cloud networking and multi-account setups

  Ability to translate technical needs into practical, scalable cloud designs

• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across global teams

• AWS certification (Associate or higher) (Preferred)

• Experience with cloud governance or cost optimization practices (Preferred)

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Ability to lead architectural reviews, create reference architectures, and deliver technical documentation

• Willingness to work in European business hours with flexibility to collaborate with US-based colleagues as needed.
