LiveRamp is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE) to join our team focused on building scalable, high-performance backend systems that power our data collaboration clean room platform.
In this role, you will design and implement distributed services that enable secure data processing across organizations. You’ll work with modern data infrastructure such as Apache Spark, Airflow, and cloud-native tools. You will help lead the development of reliable microservices that integrate with platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, and SingleStore.
This is a hands-on role that requires deep technical expertise, strong system design skills, and a passion for solving complex large data challenges in a data collaborative environment.
Must-Have Skills:
5+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable backend systems and distributed services in high-performance environments.
Proficiency or strong familiarity with Apache Spark and Apache Airflow in a Big Data enterprise context.
Deep expertise in developing microservices using Java plus either Go or Python.
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure), with a solid understanding of each platform’s strengths and trade-offs.
Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and cloud-native platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or SingleStore.
Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams.
Strong ability to design complex, distributed systems with reliability and scale in mind.
Nice to Have:
Experience with modern data platforms such as Apache Iceberg, or Trino.
