About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Institutional Investment Operations Specialist - Securities Product Group Lending Operation.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in lifecycle support tasks for institutional trade initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements.
  • Assist leadership in bringing individual or teams together in order to resolve complex issues
  • Assist in client account onboarding, input and monitoring of cash payments, customer service, project support, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation, as well as, work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issue.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on projects along with internal and industry related initiatives.
  • Review and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable.
  • Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise on functions, projects, internal and industry related initiatives.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • University degree/Post graduation in Business /Accounts/Economics/Stats.
  • 2+ years of experience in the institutional Investment Banking Operations in Asset backed financing, commercial loans & residential loans.
  • Functional experience of working in Loan IQ system.
  • Working knowledge of the either of functions ex: Middle office Operations, Product control, trade & sales support, trader/sales assistant.
  • Good understanding of Middle office controls, daily risk & PnL.
  • Willing to work in US Shift.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and time constraints.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Experiences should include familiarity with Investment industry and practices in the Financial Services industry as well as operational delivery experience.
  • Analytic thinker who likes to solve problems with strong attention to detail.
  • Analyst should have strong numerical and analytical skills, strong articulation and out of box thinking.
  • Good problem solving, analytical and numerical skills.
  • Be expected to work closely with the Middle Office LOBs in US and broad Operations functions.
  • Some of the key functions would be a) Exception management through various reconciliations, b) Queue monitoring, c) performing trade affirmations, allocations & validation, d) producing key metrics & varied reporting.
  • Shall be able to demonstrate good understanding of financial products and key regulations impacting the financial markets.
  • Responsibilities to include
  • Support the lifecycle of Institutional trades while managing a larger group or multiple groups covering the following functions; Performing QA (Quality Assurance) of commercial loan products including validating pricing attributes & other key loan parameters.
  • Ability to read the language in the agreement and translate that into data as it may be presented in the loan system and Validate it back to agreement.
  • Need to understand commercial/residential loans product, revolvers or revolving line of credit.
  • Validate Loan IQ system and the Loan agreements.
  • Ability to work through reconciliations and escalate differences for research and resolution.
  • Upload deal docs (loan documents) associated with New Deal onboarding and Modifications to ICMP.
  • Ensure that all events are logged into the workflow tool, event status is kept up to date, and any aged deliverables are escalated.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development.
  • Collaborate with all business partners and various departments, create efficiencies and mitigate risk for team and organization.
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with low to moderate complexity.
  • Ability to accurately process high volumes of work within established deadlines.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness in all areas, foster team work.
