Job Description:
Bristlecone is looking for a skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with strong programming and automation expertise to design, build, and maintain scalable test frameworks. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automation tools, API testing, and CI/CD environments, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and Agile practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient automation scripts using modern programming languages.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Develop and execute API tests using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams in an Agile environment.
- Identify, document, and track defects through the development lifecycle.
- Continuously improve testing processes, frameworks, and tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in test automation or SDET roles.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, Swift, or TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, XC Test, or JUnit.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices.
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman, Insomnia, or Rest Assured.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Locust.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS DevOps.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred:
- Experience leading automation initiatives.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Experience designing scalable, enterprise-level test frameworks.
