Coach and lead Scrum teams to apply the Scrum framework, facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments, track Agile metrics (velocity, burndown), use Jira/Confluence, and collaborate with stakeholders and other leads to improve delivery and team performance.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to join ZL Engineering Project Management group. You will be responsible for ensuring that the Scrum framework is understood and enacted. You’ll coach and guide teams to deliver high-quality product efficiently while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Support and coach the development team, Product Owner, and organization in Agile best practices.
- Remove impediments or guide the team to remove them, enabling a smooth workflow.
- Track team progress using Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, etc.
- Foster a high-performing, self-organizing team culture with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters / Project Managers and Development Leads to improve coordination.
- Ensure proper use of Agile tools like Jira, Confluence.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure transparency around team performance and delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of managing software engineering or technology projects
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience working in a product-based technology organization, managing projects involving multiple engineering teams.
- Working directly with Engineering Managers, Tech Leads and Product Managers.
- Manage technical dependencies, risks and delivery trade-offs. Coordinate software releases and production deployments
- Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with enterprise software, SaaS or data-intensive products.
- Experience working with globally distributed or cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing projects involving backend services, APIs, data platforms or distributed systems is a plus.
