SAS Consultant

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAS Consultant to support our clients in the implementation, enhancement, and optimization of SAS Viya solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for design, develop, and maintain SAS based applications that enable financial institutions to detect, prevent, and mitigate financial crimes. The position requires close collaboration with compliance teams, fraud investigators, business stakeholders, and IT teams to deliver effective and scalable banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop ETL processes using SAS DI Studio.
• Manage and manipulate large datasets using SQL and SAS to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely data availability
• Create and publish interactive dashboards and reports using SAS Visual Analytics, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Develop user interfaces and workflow automation within SAS VI to manage and triage alerts efficiently
• Created and configured scenarios in SAS VI to automatically generate alerts based on suspicious behavior patterns.
• Perform root cause analysis for system failures, alert inconsistencies, or false positives, and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to data integration, reporting, and application configuration
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in SAS programming (Base SAS, Macro, SQL) and experience with SAS solutions (e.g., SAS AML, SAS Visual Analytics) is plus.
• Solid experience with SQL and ability to develop complex queries across large datasets
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
• Experience in customer-facing roles and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service
• Relevant certifications such as SAS Certified Base or Advanced Programmer for SAS 9 are a plus
