SAP Senior Basis Consultant

We are looking for an experienced SAP Senior Basis Consultant to manage and support SAP landscapes across implementation, migration, and production support engagements. The consultant will bring strong hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA database administration, system security, SSO, and technical component management. You will work closely with functional, technical, infrastructure, and client teams to ensure SAP system availability, stability, security, and performance across our customer landscapes.

•       Manage and administer SAP S/4HANA and HANA environments across DEV, QA, and Production landscapes

•       Perform SAP installations, upgrades, kernel upgrades, support package implementation, patches, and system refreshes using SUM and SWPM

•       Lead and execute SAP HANA database administration including backup/recovery, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and system replication

•       Manage SAP system migrations, homogeneous and heterogeneous system copies, client copies, and landscape refresh activities

•       Configure and manage Transport Management System (TMS) and coordinate transport movements across landscapes

•       Monitor SAP systems, background jobs, work processes, dumps, locks, RFCs, interfaces, and system logs; proactively resolve issues

•       Perform SAP performance analysis, capacity planning, and tuning at SAP, HANA/DB, and OS levels

•       Manage High Availability and Disaster Recovery activities including HANA System Replication configuration, planned and unplanned failover procedures, and periodic DR testing

•       Administer SAP Fiori landscape – OData service activation, SICF configuration, embedded and hub Gateway setup, and Web Dispatcher routing and SSL termination

•       Configure and maintain SAP Web Dispatcher, SAP Router, and SAP Cloud Connector including HA setup for BTP connectivity

•       Configure and maintain SAP SSO solutions including SAML 2.0, Kerberos, and X.509 certificate-based authentication; integrate with Identity Providers such as SAP IAS, Azure Entra ID, or Active Directory

•       Manage SSL certificates via STRUST for ABAP and Java stacks; harden system security through profile parameter configuration and SAP security note implementation

•       Configure and maintain SAP Document Management System (DMS) with MaxDB as a content repository for attachment and document storage

•       Implement SAP Notes, security patches, and technical recommendations from SAP

•       Handle SAP incidents, service requests, problem management, and root-cause analysis in an ITIL/AMS environment

•       Coordinate with SAP, infrastructure, cloud, network, and security teams for technical issues and planned activities

•       Support technical audits, compliance requirements, and maintain SAP Basis documentation and SOPs

•       Participate in go-live, cutover, upgrade, and migration activities and provide technical leadership where required

•       Guide and mentor junior Basis team members and review their deliverables

•       7+ years of hands-on SAP Basis experience across implementation and support projects

•       Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA administration

•       Hands-on experience with HANA installation, revision upgrades, backup/recovery, and HANA System Replication (HSR) – including replication mode selection (sync, async, syncmem) and failover procedures

•       Strong experience with SAP SSO configuration – SAML 2.0, Kerberos, or X.509 certificate-based authentication – and integration with Identity Providers such as SAP IAS, Azure Entra ID, or Active Directory

•       Hands-on Fiori Basis administration – OData service activation, SICF configuration, Web Dispatcher routing, and embedded vs hub Gateway setup

•       Experience with SSL certificate management via STRUST for ABAP and Java stacks and secure profile parameter configuration

•       Experience with SAP Cloud Connector installation, configuration, and HA setup for SAP BTP connectivity

•       Experience with SAP DMS configuration and MaxDB administration as a content server for document and attachment management

•       Strong experience with TMS configuration, system refresh, client administration, SAP Notes, and OSS support

•       Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems and OS-level SAP administration

•       Strong understanding of SAP architecture, work process management, system monitoring, and performance tuning

•       Experience with HA/DR planning, DR testing, and technical recovery procedures

•       Experience with SAP Router configuration and management for external connectivity and SAP Support access

•       Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

•       Ability to work independently, take ownership of critical production issues, and lead junior team members

•       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline

•       SAP Certified Technology Associate or SAP HANA Administration certification

•       Experience with SAP on AWS or Azure – including cloud-specific sizing, storage configuration, and hybrid landscape connectivity

•       Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition Basis administration

•       Experience with SAP Solution Manager 7.2 or SAP Cloud ALM

•       Experience with SAP Integration Suite or API Management from a Basis connectivity standpoint

•       Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or dealer management system landscapes

•       Experience in AMS/support environments with SLA-based delivery

•       Willingness to participate in on-call and weekend activities during critical deployments or production incidents
