Key Accountabilities:

  • Solution Design and Architecture: Design and architect scalable Salesforce solutions that meet the business requirements and align with best practices. This includes understanding the client's needs, translating them into technical specifications, and creating a solution design that considers maintainability, scalability, and performance.

  • Development and Customization: Lead the development and customization efforts on the Salesforce platform, leveraging declarative tools (e.g., Flows, Lighting App Builder, ) and programmatic capabilities (e.g., Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components). Ensure the proper implementation of complex business logic, integrations with external systems, and customization of the user interface to enhance user experience.

  • Technical Leadership and Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team, including junior developers. This involves reviewing code, providing constructive feedback, and promoting best practices to ensure high-quality and efficient development processes. Lead by example to inspire and motivate the team to achieve project goals.

  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, project managers, and business owners to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and ensure successful project delivery. Act as a technical point of contact, addressing any technical queries or concerns from stakeholders, and providing regular updates on project progress.

  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Oversee the quality assurance process, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the delivered solutions meet the defined requirements and quality standards. Identify and resolve any defects or issues, working closely with the testing team and business stakeholders.

  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest Salesforce features, trends, and industry developments. Research and propose innovative solutions for complex business problems, leveraging new Salesforce functionalities or third-party applications. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team, implementing best practices, automation, and code optimization techniques.

  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution design documents, and technical specifications, this ensures that the development and customization activities are well-documented, facilitating knowledge sharing and future maintenance.

  • Technical Support and Issue Resolution: Provide technical support and troubleshoot any issues or incidents related to the Salesforce solutions. Analyze and resolve complex technical problems promptly, working closely with the support team and Salesforce technical support, if necessary. Continuously monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.
     

Skills:

  • Strong Salesforce Expertise: In-depth knowledge and experience with Salesforce platform features and functionalities, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Community Cloud. This includes a deep understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, automation tools (e.g., Flow, Workflow rules, Process Builder), customization (e.g., Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components), and integration capabilities (e.g., REST, SOAP, Bulk API).

  • Technical Leadership: Ability to lead a team of developers and guide them in implementing best practices, code quality, and development standards. Provide mentorship, code reviews, and constructive feedback to promote continuous learning and improvement within the team.

  • Solution Design and Architecture: Strong architectural and design skills to create scalable and maintainable Salesforce solutions. This includes understanding business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and designing a solution that aligns with best practices, performance, and scalability considerations.

  • Integration and Data Management: Familiarity with integration techniques and patterns, including REST, SOAP, Bulk API, and experience in integrating Salesforce with external systems. Knowledge of data management tools like Data Loader, Workbench, and ETL tools to manage data imports, exports, and updates.

  • Deployment: Experience in implementing with version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps) and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.

  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical challenges and issues. Ability to debug code, analyze system behavior, and apply creative problem-solving approaches to deliver effective solutions.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and business owners, to understand requirements, provide updates, and address technical queries.

  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban. Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira for project management and tracking.

  • Continuous Learning: Strong passion for learning new technologies, features, and best practices related to Salesforce. Keep abreast of the latest Salesforce releases, industry trends, and innovations to provide cutting-edge solutions.

  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment, collaborating, supporting, and encouraging the success of team members. Flexibility to adapt to changing project priorities and requirements.
     

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience on salesforce administration and development experience.

  • Experience in leading Salesforce development projects, designing and implementing solutions, and integrating Salesforce with external systems.

  • Experience with CRM (customer relationship management) software and working knowledge of a relational database design.

  • Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) software.

  • Knowledge of the full sales cycle from lead generation and request for proposal to the contract lifecycle (work orders to changes in scope).

  • Understanding of incident and problem management in a technology support environment.

  • Mentor/guide junior team members as needed.

  • Experience in healthcare, clinical development, or related field preferred.
     

Education:

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (required).

  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification (preferred).

  • Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification (required).

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I (required)

  • Salesforce Platform Developer II (preferred).

  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
